Chidorigafuchi is a moat located in the northwest of the Imperial Palace, and it is said the name comes from the moat's shape, which resembles plovers (chidori in Japanese). A can't-miss spot during cherry blossom season, with flowers reflected in the water of the moat and a tunnel of cherry blossoms over the walking path http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/location/spot/cityscap/chidorigafuchi.html).
